Cruz formed in late 2009 and featured Marilyn on vocals, Rob on guitar, Chris on Bass and Melchior on drums. Their sound had different flares of pop, funk, disco, and electronic-rock.
Back in 2010 the band gigged around a few local bars and then had a summer jam packed with events including the MTV Malta Music Week, the Farsons Beer Fest and were also the supporting act for local band Winter Moods. Cruz’s first single ‘Red Tape’ was then released on Malta’s leading radio stations.
That same year they were the winners of the best band and viewers choice award at the BMA’s and in 2011 they grabbed the award of the Best New Act at the Malta Music Awards.
Throughout the years they released hit singles like ‘STALK HAWK , ‘HAVE IT ALL’ and ‘GOOD ON YOU’.
These guys were at the top of their game which is mostly why it is such a pity that they stopped.
