The USA has Coachella, the UK has Glastonbury, Belgium has Tomorrowland and our sunny island that we call home- Malta – has Earth Garden.

Earth Garden has been branded as one of Europe’s best-kept secrets since its debut 13 years ago. It has now become a household name on our sunny shores and fast  becoming one of the top alternative festivals in Europe. The four-day music festival is getting ready to kick off the summer buzz and take both local and foreign revellers on a musical journey of  quality, lifestyle and love.

Earth Garden Festival is held at the Ta’ Qali National Park which will be transformed into a music haven and will feature five areas.120 international acts will bring their magic and magnetic energy to the stages with an eclectic music fusion of World Music, Ska, Funk, Blues, Reggae, Alternative Rock, Dub, Hip-Hop, Psychedelic Trance, Techno, Acid, House, Electro, Drum ‘n’ Bass and more.

At the heart of the festival is The Roots Stage which is set right in the middle of the festival with 22 live acts pumping music throughout the four days getting the crowd up on their feet and grooving in no time. This stage will feature international acts and  some of Malta’s finest performers like Brikkuni, The Riffffs, Tribali and ManaTapu to name a few will be gracing the stage.

Another area is the Enchanted Forest which is the oldest and most loved area- prepare to be spellbound with the music and vibe it has to offer – from live afternoon sessions to evening events featuring local and international Acts and DJ’s ranging from World Music, Reggae, Dub, Ska, Hip-Hop, Funk .Get ready to expect the unexpected.

If Techno and Electronic music is your cup of tea then the Electronic Sphere and Strawberry Hill are the place to be. These two areas have been growing consistently and host an interesting mix of local and international performers namely Matrixxman, Lucy, Atmos & Billy Nasty and Brian James (Unfocused) who will be taking to the stage and celebrating 30years of Djing on Saturday 1st June.

Then there is the Music Playground which is a gem of a jamming area and will feature both organised and improvised jamming sessions, which  may include a few surprise visits from  headliners performing at the roots stage..

Earth Garden isn’t just about music though. It’s also about bringing people together. It is about culture, diversity, community, creativity and inspiration. Everyone is invited to celebrate including families and pets. The festival also offers an International Food-Court, Healing, Yoga & Meditation Area with daily workshops, a colourful & diverse Ethnic Market, two naturally shaded campsites that are sold out year after year and a Fun Park for the little ones and those young at heart to enjoy.
